Valhalla Resale
Brand Redesign
Valhalla is Tampa’s favorite resale fashion boutique for women with style and heart. Imagine a company that lets you borrow clothes like a library. No, really! Valhalla prides themselves on their commitment to environmental sustainability, while also providing customers the excitement of “new-to-you” apparel. In partnership with (noted fashion photographer) Jesi Cason, I helped refresh this brand to give it a little more pizazz. Learn more!
The owner of this fabulous shop did not have much branding to begin with outside of a logo she liked. She loved the idea of bold groovy colors and a slightly 60s vibe. With this in mind, our goal was to provide her with options for fun updated fonts that could pair with the original logo and font she cherished. This approach allowed us to refresh the overall branding while honoring the beloved original logo.
I also got to illustrate charming custom icons to accompany the redesign. These icons act as navigational guides for the company’s various services including closet cleanouts, personal styling, selling your clothes, membership, and sustainability.
Once we created the brand’s new identity, I began the process of developing the brand guide. Even a simple brand guide like this is an incredibly useful tool for business owners to possess. It provides a single source for their brand’s key elements including logos, color schemes, fonts, and icon usage. Additionally, a brand guide ensures clear communication of brand standards for any new designer brought on by the brand.
Finally, the redesign was complete with a completely updated website. Jesi took our new brand and applied it to the old site’s framework from head to toe. As you can see, it is way more immersive and offers customers a friendly browsing experience. (Although I did not work on the site myself, I am including it to share the full rebrand package and highlight my friend’s work and photography.)
